We are the supplier of choice for many across Australia offering flexible hire options on a huge range of specialised Hi Rail Machinery. At RMS Rail we offer dry hire on our range of hi-rail and non hi-rail plant and equipment. Or if you prefer, you can wet hire the range with one of our competent and experienced operators.
RMS Rail has grown into an interstate business with current works in Victoria, NSW, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth servicing rail operators, tier one construction projects, civil and mining companies.
We currently provide services in project site surveillance and operational management with approximately 100 dedicated staff and trained operators. RMS has a strong commitment to provide competent operators and is continuously investing in the development of our people. Our internal VoC (Verification ofCompetency) training program ensures that our operators have the necessary skills to perform a wide variety of tasks.
In 1971 Axiom Plant Hire was established by our founder Peter Schembri. Peter began providing backhoes to replace sleepers for the Victorian railways and had the foresight to see that the future of rail maintenance and construction was going to rely more and more on the use of heavy plant and machinery. Therefore, he quickly positioned the company to meet this growing need.
The company proceeded to develop niche expertise in sleeper replacement and other track maintenance activities whilst growing their fleet to perform these works.
With more than 50 years under our belt, the Company continues to focus on innovation in local and international markets, to offer the best possible service in Rail Maintenance and Construction.
In what year? we changed our name to Rail Maintenance Services Pty Ltd (RMS) and further invested in new machines and specialised attachments.
Mindful of the needs of our clients, our technical team scoured Australia and the world for the latest innovations in plant and equipment to provide our clients more efficient, cost and time saving solutions.
This strategy continues today with a fleet of more than 170 specialised machines and a team 100 strong.
